UPG: Hmong [6066]

Go! Center #6066

The Hmong people of Thailand are a colorful tribal group that mostly live near two large cities in northern Thailand and in clusters around the world. Some Hmong have found salvation and are responsive to the Gospel. Originally a large part of the opium trade, the Hmong have begun to blend into the rich cultural society of Thailand. Now, instead of opium, coffee plantations and other small businesses form the basis of their livelihoods. In the the 2020 Olympics, it was a Hmong gymnast by the name of Sunisa “Suni” Lee who brought home a gold, silver and bronze medal for the USA. Almost single-handedly, Suni Lee rocketed this relatively unknown tribe to becoming front page news. There has never been a better time in history for these precious people to come into God’s limelight and shine for Him!

Though we don’t have any opportunities to work in Thailand with them at this time, there is a clear need for prayer as the soil of their hearts are prepared. Please join the prayer effort! A prayer guide is available to download here: https://www.gmstm.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/UPG-PrayerHmong.pdf.
