Go! Center #6123
The Kurds are indigenous to the plains and mountains of Ancient Mesopotamia. Today, that region is now divided among the countries of Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Armenia. Due to their stateless nature, the Kurdish people have been persecuted as minorities seeking statehood. Their estimated population is over 30 million worldwide.
Bringing the Gospel to this unreached people group can prove challenging as many governments see any support of the Kurds as supporting their political views. As well, they live in countries whose majority religion is not Christianity. Daily these people face discrimination, persecution, and violence against them.
Recently, opportunities have opened to begin a new work within a majority Kurdish region. The work may be challenging, but we believe God is calling for ministers to reach these people who are loved by Him. This new opportunity will require agility, discretion, patience, and faithful stewardship. The team working on the ground may be the only Christian believers in the area. We are looking for experienced saints and ministers that can teach Bible studies, focus on language learning and writing of materials, and create & develop relationships with the locals. We are also diligently searching for dedicated prayer warriors who will bind with us to reach the Kurdish people for the sake of Jesus Christ!
