The Gambia, the smallest country within mainland Africa, is the “smiling coast of Africa”. The Gambia is situated on both sides of the Gambia River, the nation’s namesake, which flows through the center of the nation and empties into the Atlantic Ocean. What’s even more beautiful than the nation’s culture, beaches, and wildlife (lots of monkeys) is the Gambian people.
The Gambia has a population of approximately 2.5 million beautiful people representing a variety of ethnic groups, each preserving its own traditions and language however, English is the official language.
Approximately 96% of the Gambian population identify as Muslim. The Gambia desperately needs to hear the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to love people and make disciples. With God’s help (and with your help) we are building people, home groups, preaching points, and training centers. It’s our mission to not only reach The Gambia with this gospel message but that the church of The Gambia can also reach into West Africa and beyond.
You can tremendously help us. We need laborers in the field. First requirement is that you must love people. Specifically we need soulwinners, evangelist, Bible teachers, Sunday School teachers, and children ministry workers.
